Unless you manually tap and drag the songs around in the album playback screen not the original album listing screen , there is no way to automatically sort songs by track number in the app. You can get VLC to play audio files stored on your device by renaming the files, adding a track number just after the artist name.
As far as I know all players play files in alphabetical order by default so this works with all players. You can also group files by genre by adding a category at the beginning of each file name.
Below are the eight categories I use. Well, I do not think that VLC has the share feature. So, we should actually locate the video file in the local or external storage and share it to whatsapp. We have a tablet we use VLC on to play movies for our children in the car. VLC used to automatically resume playing from where it stopped when we would lock the screen while the video was playing and then come back later and unlock it.
Now it requires us to push the play button to resume playback. Also, with the playlist mode it used to start at the beginning of the next file rather than where the video last left off. Now, if the kids finish one movie but were half way through the next it throws them into the middle of it. Do you know any way to get VLC for Android functioning like it used to? Thank you! The issue here is in the video menu, the VOB are all grouped in the video grouping. And as all Vobs are the same file name they are hard to find. This could be fixed, if they were found in the directory section under there folder name.
Or if we had the play DVD option same as windows desktop. VLC for Android plays a short static burst at the start of opening some mkv files and will hitch before playing it.

What follows is a mash-up of RPG-lite and real-time strategy in a shoebox. Note, however, that you'll be restricted to apps that support xcompatible systems.
These are growing in number, but don't expect to run every app in the Play store. You can't just install a second operating system on a device designed for Windows without making a few adjustments to the system setup. First, you'll need to ensure Secure Boot is disabled. Here, find Security in the left-hand menu and set a Supervisor password.
Once you've added that, open Boot , find the Secure Boot option, and set it to Disabled. With that done, hold down Power to restart, then hold the Windows button as well until the screen comes back on.
Do not use a docking station. In the boot menu, use the arrow keys to select the USB drive. When you need to make selections such as enabling dual boot , use your device's volume keys. Different versions of the Android installer have slightly different steps. In most cases, the dual boot option should be selected. It's often not worth removing Windows entirely as the bootloader is required for Android to boot.
If all goes according to plan, when you next boot up the tablet you should see a boot menu, where you can select between Android and Windows. If your main motivation for installing Android on your Windows tablet is to use apps, emulation is a simpler solution.
You can choose from several tools to run Android apps in this way, including:. Because your layout should stretch to fit the current screen, so too should the bitmaps that you attach to any of the layout views. However, stretching an ordinary bitmap in arbitrary directions can result in strange scaling artifacts and skewed images.
To solve this, Android supports nine-patch bitmaps in which you specify small pixel regions that are stretchable—the rest of the image remain unscaled. Learn more about nine-patch bitmaps. The pixel density is the number of pixels within a physical area of the screen and is referred to as dpi dots per inch.
This is different from the resolution, which is the total number of pixels on a screen. Figure 2. An exaggeration of two devices that are the same size but have different pixel densities. Your app achieves "density independence" when it preserves the physical size from the user's point of view of your UI design when displayed on screens with different pixel densities as shown in figure 2.
Maintaining density independence is important because, without it, a UI element such as a button might appear larger on a low-density screen and smaller on a high-density screen because when the pixels are larger—as shown in figure 2—a few pixels can go a long way. The Android system helps you achieve density independence by providing density-independent pixels dp or dip as a unit of measurement that you should use instead of pixels px.
Learn more about density independent pixels. To ensure your images appear at their best on all screens, you should provide alternative bitmaps to match each screen density.
For example, if your app provides bitmaps only for medium density mdpi screens, Android scales them up when on a high-density screen so that the image occupies the same physical space on the screen. This can cause visible scaling artifacts in bitmaps.
So your app should include alternative bitmaps at a higher resolution. Learn how to provide alternative bitmaps. For simple types of images usually icons , you can avoid creating separate images for each density by using vector graphics.
Because vector graphics define the illustration with geometric line paths instead of pixels, they can be drawn at any size without scaling artifacts. Learn more about using vector graphics. Each of these devices have their own user interaction model that your app should accommodate.
In some cases, such as for Wear OS, you should re-think your app's user experience and build an app that's specialized for that device. Foldable devices typically have multiple displays with different displays or even combinations of displays becoming active for different states of the device folding.
Following the guidelines in this document will help your app to adapt to those changing configurations. However, some configurations may have unusual aspect ratios, so it is worth testing how your app behaves on a variety of devices. Usually, an app that works well in multi-window mode for various window sizes will also behave well on foldable devices. Although the Android framework and tools provide everything you need to make an app available to all screen configurations, you still might decide you don't want your app available on some screen configurations due to some sort of incompatibility.
In that case, you can declare your app supports only specific screens. Content and code samples on this page are subject to the licenses described in the Content License.
